The topic of my internship at OGS was test automation using a robot arm. I had chosen this topic because I wanted to work with software and hardware. During the internship we built a prototype of a test automation system. A robot arm that automatically operates a coffee machine. We had all the necessary resources at our disposal. On the hardware side, we had a 3D printer, a robotic arm and a wide range of possible sensors and tools at our disposal. On the software side we had an internal Java test automation framework, access to Jira and much more.

The project gave me the opportunity to work very independently and to do a lot of testing. I also took on responsibility and this gave me the opportunity to do my best.

Colleagues and supervisors were always available to answer my questions, so I never had the feeling of being “abandoned”. I found the cooperation in a small team very positive. It was easy to coordinate tasks and it also increased motivation.

With the project I have achieved all my goals and expectations and the overall result of the project was very satisfying for everyone. In conclusion, I can say that the cooperation with OGS was extremely successful.

„I decided to do my compulsory bachelor internship (at the FH) at OGS Software and Services GmbH because of their very exciting sounding work topics. After getting to know the OGS team and my supervisor for the first time, I was able to get in touch with him and other specialist employees at any time, regarding any questions I might have and work together with the company in an optimal way. The internship enabled me to work with new and innovative technologies like robotics, 3D printing and electronics in addition to programming. My personal expectations of the internship with OGS were fully met and in some points even exceeded. I am very happy to be a part of the OGS team after my bachelor studies.”
